It is the most common skin condition characterized by pimples on the face , back upper chest . It occurs when the pores of the skin clogged with oil , dead skin or bacteria.In Ayurveda it is called “Yuvaan Pidika” . The Vata and Kapha caused distortion of the blood or Rakt dhatu causes excessive secretions of the gland and clogging . The aggravated pitta effects rakt dhatu. The vitiated blood effects the skin and causes excessive section of the sebaceous glands. PITTA ACNE are generally Red , Soft small and tends to aggravates in hot seasonKAPHA ACNE has the sticky properties & aggravates in cold weather. The lesions are pale hard , fairly large , have a oil secretions.

Vitiligo
AYURVEDA AND LEUCODERMA
According to Ayurveda Vitiligo is known as “ White Leprosy” : “SHIVTRA”: “ KILASA” . In modern it is known as Vitiligo or Leucoderma. It is a noninfectious disorder in which white patches are formed.
Vitiligo is a common acquired disorder characterized by well marginated milky white spots resulting from loss of melanocytes. It is not a skin disease rather it is an Auto Immune Disease which affects the skin.
Vitiligo and Leucoderma are two different terms used for the same skin disorder. But there exits causative difference between two. Literally “ Leucoderma” means “ White Skin”. Terming it a disease is not appropriate because it does not cause any organic default and it starts without any symptoms.
